Medical Education and Research Costs (MERC)

The MERC Fund was established in 1996 and is administered by the Minnesota Department of Health. The purpose of the grant is to compensate Minnesota clinical training facilities for a porion of the clinical training costs for specific medical professions.

Grants are determined through a formula established in Minnesota Statutes, section 62J.692.

The MERC grant is now accepting applications for clinical training that took place in Minnesota in fiscal year 2018. See the application materials for details.
