Cannabis Materials

We're working to create materials and share important cannabis-related information. New tools and materials will be added to this page as they become available – so check back often for updates.

This page reflects our ongoing efforts to provide cannabis education resources while deeper work, including audience research, message testing, and content development continues. A broader communications effort is on the way, and MDH looks forward to collaborating with local partners across Minnesota to help guide its direction.

Find clear, helpful information and resources about cannabis use, health, and safety.

Be Cannabis Aware is a digital campaign that gives young people—and the adults who support them—the real facts about cannabis. The campaign offers messages and downloadable tools to help youth navigate peer pressure, understand the risks of cannabis use, and explore strategies for mental wellness. A dedicated “For Mentors” section offers practical tips and conversation guides for parents, caregivers, teachers, and coaches. Whether you're curious about Minnesota’s new laws or looking for ways to support youth, Be Cannabis Aware creates space for informed and meaningful conversations.

Campaign materials

Local public health agencies, schools, and other youth-serving community organizations are encouraged to share the Be Cannabis Aware campaign with young people in their communities. Use the free tools below to promote the campaign.
