Minnesota Vaccines for Children Program (MnVFC)
The MnVFC program is Minnesota’s implementation of the federal Vaccines for Children program and is administered by MDH. It provides free or low-cost vaccines to eligible children through enrolled health care providers across Minnesota and helps ensure that children can receive recommended vaccines regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
MDH enrolls and supports participating health care providers who offer and administer recommended vaccines to eligible children. Children from birth through 18 years of age may receive MnVFC vaccines if they meet at least one of the following criteria: Enrolled in Medicaid or Medical Assistance, uninsured, American Indian or Alaska Native, or those underinsured who can only receive vaccines at local public health clinics (LPH), Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), Rural Health Centers (RHC), Indian Health Service (IHS), and tribal health clinics.
