The Licensed Assisted Living Director: Licensing and Practice Requirements in Minnesota
MDH Health Regulation Division (HRD) will host the Board of Executives for Long-Term Care Services and Supports (BELTSS) on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at noon to present the most frequently asked questions about Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) licensure and practice requirements. BELTSS staff will also review recent updates to the BELTSS website where resources can be found for LALDs or those interested in becoming LALDs, and HRD staff will speak to application of Minn. Stat. 144G requirements and the LALD role.

Bed Rail and Assistive Device Safety Regulation
Please join the MDH Health Regulation Division for a WebEx presentation to review the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines for bedrail assessment and safety. This WebEx will be presented by MDH federal and state regulators to provide the current clinical and regulatory standards to ensure residents or clients utilizing hospital bedrails, consumer portable bedrails or other assistive devices are assessed for appropriateness and safety to avoid serious injury or death.

Assisted Living Surveys and Investigations
You are invited to join the Assisted Living Survey and Investigation WebEx Series on Wednesdays this fall hosted by the MDH Health Regulation Division.
We encourage assisted living providers and stakeholders to attend to learn about the first year of assisted living licensure implementation, what surveyors and investigators are citing in facilities, and how providers can comply with the new assisted living regulations.
