Prescription Drug Price Transparency
Research and Analysis Home
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) performs research and analysis on prescription drug pricing data collected under the Minnesota Prescription Drug Price Transparency Act (the Act, Minnesota Statutes 62J.84). The Act directs MDH to collect—and make available publicly— data from drug manufacturers, wholesalers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and pharmacies that provides insight into the prescription drug market and drivers of prescription drug costs.
MDH posts reported data online and produces publications, including annual reports to the Legislature.
